Thanks for visiting my Synergy Summer Arts Camp portfolio!
The summer arts camp at Synergy Performing Arts Academy focused on the introduction to the basics of the four arts taught at the academy: dance, drama, music and art. My camp partner Alessandra and I had a great time coming up with weekly themes, choosing theatre games, music pieces, crafty activities and much more for the kids to do for the week.
Here you'll find links to the custom scripts I had written for weekly themes during our summer arts day camp, which the kids absolutely loved! Each performance ran about 10-15 minutes each - given 'first-timer' jitters, some of these kids being as young as four. Read, enjoy and comment - I'd love your feedback!
I was also responsible for introducing kids to the exciting world of dance! We learned basic dance moved and history from ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop dance, and the kids got to create their own choreography from their favourite moves. Take a look at the handouts I created for the kids to take home - complete with pictures and diagrams of stretches, warmups and dance steps!
